Thai Massage I: Basics (B) - Upper Body

This is the second 16‑hour block of Thai Massage I: Basics (40 Hrs), specifically Days 3‑4 of the 5‑Full Day Intensive, or Days 5‑8 of the 10 Half‑Day format.

This 16-hour option is available for students who have completed Part A - Lower Body, to continue the full 40-hour basics course in a segmented (or partial) format.

This segment completes the rest of the massage, continuing with the arms, followed by yoga stretching, and then the back, neck, and head.

Students will learn how to find the Thai energy meridian segments (called "Sen") on the arms, back and head, with step-by-step footwork and other choreography to transition from one pose to the next, and the necessary body mechanics to safely perform such bodywork for both client and practitioner.

See the listing for Thai Massage I: Basics for details on the whole course.

Classes limited to ensure enough time for one-on-one instruction and practice in a supportive environment.

What are the "internship" opportunities?

These classes follow the traditions of its Thai lineage, including allowing students who have completed a course may attend that same course again as many times as they want, at no extra cost, as long as there is space for interns!

Internships are considered an invaluable opportunity and part of the learning process, as it allows students to see, hear and experience foundational instruction repeatedly to hone their understanding. Ideally, in time this small school, like others, will grow large enough to have a daily clinic of supervised intern students, who perform and observe massage treatments as part of their long-term training!
